Urbo is a Dutch/American company specializing in office accessories.
The challenge here was to design a set of braces that professionals actually want to use. Repetitive motion injuries such as carpal tunnel syndrome are becoming increasingly common as more people spend hours behind desks, yet most of the therapeutic devices available have a strong medical or athletic aesthetic.
Using a subtle pattern and a limited palette, I worked with the client and factory to create functional braces that look at home in a business casual environment. My hope is that having a more aesthetically relevant option will persuade more office workers to address their health concerns.
